Dave Hertel
From West Michigan, Dave played his youth soccer with Holland Christian, TKO, and the Michigan Wolves before continuing his career at Michigan State. A First Team All Big Ten in 2008, he was invited to the MLS Player Combine and played professionally with the Richmond Kickers in the USL (2010-2011). He was a part of the team to beat two MLS teams and advance to the semi-finals of the 2011 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
As a coach, Dave has served as the Technical Director for USA Soccer Club (Holland, MI), assistant coach for Hope College Men’s Soccer (2015 – 2016), assistant coach for the Calvin College Men’s Soccer team (2014), and assistant varsity coach at West Ottawa High School (2013).
Dave will be the head coach of the Bearings for the 2021 season.
Alex Lindsey
A West Michigan native, Alex played high school soccer with East Lansing High School and club for TNT Dynamite. A recruit of Valparaiso University, he played two seasons with the Crusaders before transferring to Hope College for the remainder of his college career.
Lindsey brings coaching experience through camps at both Hope and Valparaiso.
He will be assisting Dave for the 2021 season.
